Privacy that feels neighborly

You choose how private your events are. I’ll provide the tools and respect your community’s choices.

My philosophy

Hi, I’m Nicholas. I built NeighborlyEvents as a passion project to help neighborhoods gather in ways that feel safe, warm, and respectful. Your community sets the tone — I’m here to make it easier.

Some events are public celebrations; others are meant just for neighbors. You deserve control — from who can see an event to how people register and what questions you ask. My goal is to give you clear, simple tools and stay out of your way.

I’ve worked as a software engineer and have designed and studied social media systems. I believe our digital footprints matter, and that photos and stories should be handled with dignity — especially when children are involved.

You control the space

  • Pick privacy levels that fit each event
  • Vet registrations and ask custom questions
  • Use invite links or approvals when needed
  • Keep sensitive details visible only to neighbors

Photos, handled gently

  • Optional face detection with emoji masking
  • Limit who can view event photos
  • Distribute photo approvals to trusted volunteers
  • Respect opt-outs and remove on request

Security & care

  • Built with care and a security-first mindset
  • Data stored thoughtfully and minimized
  • Clear paths to export/delete your data

I've architected and built systems to high security standards set by the U.S. government. I'll do my best to safeguard your data and empower your community.
